We’ve been waiting since the shot show in January to see Benelli’s newest toy to take to the woods or field! It was unwrapped today via the web presentation. I finally got through to the website, probably due to heavy traffic to see what the fuss was all about. The Vinci is a new design shotgun that comes in three basic modules for easy assembly. The stock, action and barrel. It sports two different barrel lengths of 26″ and 28″ respectively. You can choose from three different color schemes: Black matte, Realtree APG HD, Advantage Max-4 HD.
The Vinci sports the claim of being the lightest and smoothest shooting shotgun on the market due to the new “Inertia Driven System”. This reduces recoil and weight of the firearm, by having fewer moving parts. The system uses the inertia of the fired cartridge to drive the ejection and reloading system instead of the gas powered systems of old.
Between the five different options offered with available barrel lenths, the Vinci comes in between 6.8 and 6.9 pounds. With the five options available you can expect to spend between $1379 and $1479 depending on which model you choose.
Benelli offers three additional crio extended choke tubes for the Vinci. First is the Turkey Choke designed for the tight shooting turkey loads, second is the Pass Choke for long distance waterfowl pass shooting, and third is the Decoy Choke for standard waterfowl shooting.
