For years, little 11-year-old Krista Brewer fought a horrific battle against a cancer that infected her fragile body. She fought for years until she finally went home to Heaven.
For 11 years, Krista was forced to undergo Chemo therapy and other procedures while doctors tried desperately to save her life. She loved Chuck E Cheese and Disney World and taught her family a lot about life - and strength.
In her final days, Krista's family prayed for a way to tell their daughter it was okay to stop fighting. They watched her condition deteriorate and knew her time was coming.
They wrote on the Krista Brewer official website: Thursday, September 18, 2008-With family and friends wrapped around her, our sweet little Krista received her wings at 11:15, Wednesday night, September 17, 2008. Visitation is scheduled for September 19th 6:00-8:00 at First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Funeral services will be held September 20th at 2:00 at First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Burial and Balloon release will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
